Antinous Astrology Forecast

DECEMBER 20 to 31, 2012

THURSDAY December 20th 2012

On Thursday there's new chance for Yuletide love when Venus and Uranus form a trine and ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD is in a sexy sextile to Mars. Meanwhile, the Sun and Moon square off for the PISCES FIRST QUARTER MOON which, in Antinous Moon Magic, is the CONSORTIUM MOON of gay matchmaking. These aspects by these major planets color the whole rest of the week. So if you were thinking of staying home and not going to that holiday lunch or dinner party, think again. Someone special could be waiting under the mistletoe for you.

FRIDAY December 21st 2012

On Friday at 11:11 a.m. Universal Time (midday in the UK and Europe) we finally come to that fateful date everyone has been talking about for years — the December 21, 2012, Solstice. That is the final date in the Mayan Long Count calendar. Despite all the croakings of doom by alarmists, we do not believe that the December Solstice 2012 is the end of the world. But we do believe it is the end of an exceedingly long cycle called The Great Year which lasts for 26,000 years. It is the end of a Great Cycle. But it is also the beginning of the next one. It is an ending — but not the end of the world. It is the darkness just before dawn. That twilight began with the discovery of the planet Uranus in 1781. Uranus is the planet of abrupt "eureka" discoveries and just think how our world has been revolutionized since 1781! Then in 1996 Uranus entered its home sign of Aquarius, which many consider the true dawning of the Age of Aquarius, which marks the first 2,000-year segment of the new Great Year which will last 26,000 years. Aquarius Uranus also heralded the founding of the New Religion of Antinous by Flamen Antonyus Subia. Perhaps the Solstice marks the beginning of the Age of Antinous/Aquarius. We cannot say what will happen except that Aquarius is not only beneficent and altruistic but also somewhat cold and brainy-rationalistic. Above all, Aquarius loves change for the sake of change ... anything can happen ... and it will happen way differently than anything we can imagine. No, the world won't come to an end on 21st December 2012 — not the climactic way it did at the movies. But in a few short years we will begin to see that the world is becoming vastly different — just remember that this change began back in 1781 — and it is now moving to warp speed.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY Dec. 22nd/23rd 2012

This Solstice/Yuletide weekend will be problematic on the political and global economic level. But on the personal level you can expect a pleasant weekend. Just don't expect timetables to be reliable. That's because the Sun is in a sextile to foggy nebulous Neptune while the Moon is at right angles to Mars. Your best-laid plans will go awry for sure. Also, love planet Venus is in opposition to exaggeration-prone Jupiter — a recipe for over-indulgence in food, drink and Yuletide revelry.

MONDAY December 24th 2012

If you are spending the holidays with non-pagan friends or family, you can expect an unusually quiet Christmas Eve when the placid Taurus Moon engages in absolutely no major aspects. If you're doing last-minute shopping, of course, that means you can expect annoying delays and frustration because everything moves in slow-motion. It is like that old poem, "'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse ...."

TUESDAY December 25th 2012

On Tuesday you should batten down the hatches for potentially unpleasant surprise encounters when ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD squares off to vague Neptune while engaging in strong aspects to aggressive Mars and impetuous Uranus. Family arguments are inevitable. Just saying ....

WEDNESDAY December 26th 2012

On Wednesday Mars leaves stodgy Capricorn and enters rational, logical Aquarius — the Warrior Planet Mars becomes First Officer Spock! Aquarius Mars carries out his "battles" on a highly cerebral level. This is the nerd who loves 3-D chess and computer games. Mars in Aquarius signals a time when emotions are sublimated as people engage in mind games. That is not a bad thing — as long as people don't get so caught up in the chatter of their brains that they forget to listen to their hearts.

THURSDAY December 27th 2012

On Thursday Saturn and Pluto form a sextile which prods you into clearing up the mess and leftovers from the holidays. Saturn/Pluto can be VERY persnickety. You may feel like cleaning the fridge with a tooth brush.

FRIDAY December 28th 2012

On Friday, we come full circle with the CANCER FULL MOON which was the first full moon of January 2012 and which now rounds out the year. In Antinous Moon Magic this is the LUNUS MOON — the Moon of Moons! This is a Full Moon which brings out powerful emotions. Because this Full Moon always occurs during December/January, it is emotional farewell to the old year and heart-felt welcoming of the new year. You will shed sentimental tears for loved ones you have lost during the past year, not to mention a job or other things you may have lost. This is an evening to kiss and make up and forgive those who have hurt you. The combination of sensitive Cancer Moon and practical Capricorn Sun gives you the emotional courage to overcome your stubborn pride and open your heart to those whom you will need during the New Year 2013.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY Dec. 29th/30th 2012

The final weekend of 2012 is likely to be intensely distressing on many levels when the Sun aligns with Pluto in Capricorn just hours before the Sun also forms an intense aspect to Saturn. The Sun shines a light on dirty dealings and black secrets which have been concealed all year, or even longer. The old year is going out with a bang.

MONDAY December 31st 2012

On New Year's Eve Mercury sets the tone for a sober and serious New Year 2013 by leaving optimistic Sagittarius and plodding into dour Capcricorn. While Sadge Mercury said, "Yes, we can," practical-minded Capricorn Mercury asks, "Well, perhaps we can ... but if so, it will entail a lot of hard work and planning." It also means the next four weeks will be dreary and unimaginative, but nonetheless a good time for knuckling down and saying what has to be said.

SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEK:

Another exciting week lies ahead between January 1st and 8th when the first weekend of the New Year 2013 features a bright trine between go-to-it Mars and optimistic Jupiter which signals hope and confidence ahead. More details next time ....
