This is going to be a tense and difficult weekend when upheavals occur and when political assassins and terrorists find ample opportunities to do their mischief. Saturn is the cosmic teacher, focusing the rays of the intuitive Pisces Sun on problems in your life which need to be corrected ... and giving you insights to solutions to those problems. Making matters worse, Neptune rises at sunset to make its once-a-year opposition to the Sun. Dreamy Neptune creates a smokescreen of illusion, confusion and profusion of conflicting images which overwhelms the conscientious Virgo Sun. On the down side, you may find yourself unable to see clearly which route to take in life. On the plus side, you perceive intuitive insights which ordinarily are lost in the glare of the sun. And there's more: Retrograde Mercury aligns with Jupiter to bring you mixed blessings from the past. This is a weekend full of contradictions when Saturn is at right angles to nebulous Neptune. Sagittarius Saturn encourages you to be fair-minded and just in all your dealings with others. But Retrograde Neptune in dreamy Pisces blurs all the distinctions between right and wrong, left and right and up and down. And because Neptune is Retrograde, you sense a vague nostalgia for the way things used to be and delude yourself into thinking things used to be more just and fair ... when in fact they weren't. On the interpersonal level, this means you tend to misinterpret or overlook the intentions of other people. On Sunday Venus and Pluto square off at a 90-degree right angle. This creates an explosive situation for interpersonal relationships. Because Pluto is Retrograde, thorny old issues come to the fore again. It begins at the breakfast table over corn flakes when you say you want to go shopping and your alpha-male boyfriend starts in saying that it's typical of you to go off and spend money and waste time while he has to clean the house. Next thing you know, the two of you have been screaming at each other for hours. Remember that we always say astrology is a tool to master such situations. Venus-square-Pluto is a golden opportunity to rediscover the things you love about your lover. Okay, so he's a bitch-on-wheels. So what? He's your bitch-on-wheels and the two of you love each other. Make a stab at helping him clean the house — and sneak online and buy needless stuff on eBay when he's not looking.
MON.-THURSDAY SEPT. 12th-15th, 2016
This week is dominated by ornery Mars in some highly ornery configurations to the Sun and Mercury which will cause the Earth to rumble ... politically, societally and geologically. The THE YEAR OF MARS 2016 certainly lives up to its name this week. First off on Monday, Mercury is at right angles to Mars. Some astrologers say this is when people sharpen their swords, but we prefer to say it is when people sharpen their tongues to use as weapons! Remember that lovely line from "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde (who is a Saint of Antinous, by the way): "On an occasion of this kind it becomes more than a moral duty to speak one's mind. It becomes a pleasure." This is an aspect which encourages people to say vicious and intentionally hurtful things. People are overly persnickety and bitchy and downright mean. You'll be amazed how true this is. Later, the Sun also squares off against Mars to make people violent, impulsive. People throw themselves headlong into situations without ever thinking of the consequences of their actions. This can cause a lot of problems. People cannot stand still and channel badly the energy which they possesse. As if that were not enough, Mercury aligns in conjunction with the Sun. Old astrology texts dating back to Ancient Rome call this a potentially hazardous time, and speak of a SCORCHED MERCURY which impairs communications and judgment. But in ANTINOUS MOON MAGIC, we see that very differently. This Sun/Mercury conjunction is indeed intense, but in a positive way. Antinous/Mercury focuses the gay spiritual light of his heavenly father Ra-Herakhte right at you. Open your spiritual heart to the light and joy and permit it to burn away all doubt and all fear and trepidation. Most people live in spiritual darkness. They are like people who live in caves and are afraid of sunlight because it hurts their eyes. But should we shun the light and stay in the cave with them?
