JUPITER plunges into passionate, power-hungry Scorpio, the zodiac's sign of sex, emotional bonds, shared finances and wealth, from 10 October 2017 to 8 November 2018.

Life takes a turn for the mysterious as expansive Jupiter makes his annual sign change. Jupiter takes 12 years to circle the sun, meaning it spends about a year in each astrological sign.

As he flows into Scorpio's deep waters, he is simultaneously ending his tour of harmonious Libra, the sign of love and relationships, which began on September 9, 2016. We were hoping peace would descend on our planet with the red-spotted planet in the sign of interpersonal harmony for the past 13 months.

But after a year of international turmoil, human rights setbacks and political unrest, it is clear that Jupiter's job was to pull back the curtain on the many ways we are NOT as balanced as Libra energy would prefer us to be.

From October 10, 2017, to November 8, 2018, Jupiter descends into the swirling, secretive and sensual waters of Scorpio. This could ignite a different kind of revolution ... and it might be a sexual one. Fetishwear could find its way into fashion again, and certain taboos about kink could all but disappear.

Similarly, we can expect great strides to occur in the modern religion of Antinous. LGBT rights, which have been a hot-button issue for the past year for both the right and left, will swell in importance.

Jupiter was last in Scorpio from October 26, 2005 until November 23, 2007, so page back to that time for clues of what could resurface now.

While Jupiter was in Libra, we wanted things fair and democratic. And when they weren't it stood out in stark relief, spurring outrage and providing nonstop fodder for nightly news programming. Scorpio's fixation, however, is on power: sexual, financial and political.

Of course, there’s an apt saying here that absolute power "corrupts absolutely." The oligarchs could either strengthen their insane stronghold while Jupiter is in Scorpio OR have their corruption totally exposed.

At his best, Jupiter is a high-minded influence so there may be a new form of currency in the power game: Truth and authenticity.

Deep-diving Scorpio is known for being jealous and possessive, but experimental Jupiter is all about freedom. These energies are a curious mix that could lead to some interesting explorations and philosophical debates in the area of LGBT issues regarding gender, religious tolerance and politics.

Regardless of what actually manifests during this Jupiter in Scorpio transit ... at a global or personal level ... rest assured: It will anything but routine. The Antinous revolution begins now. Time to dive deep!
